What are you playing this weekend?

Also want to add that I'm installing the Master Server patch and going to be checking out who's left on Aliens vs Predator 2 multiplayer.

I'm playing Fire Emblem Awakening for 3DS. Fantastic game overall. The graphics, the story, etc. are all top notch

I've heard both sides of that, though. I know different directions are taken on the show versus the comics, but I see people who think the show raised it to another level. There will always be two camps on stuff like this. Nicotero does an incredible job making it all feel real.

I haven't heard anyone who has read the books say the show is better. Personally I wish someone like HBO picked up the rights and kept it true to the original material. There's just so much shit they can't show on tv.

Well, here's an interesting take from Kirkland himself.. not necessarily saying the show is better, but how the differences in storytelling are necessary and he wouldn't have the show done any other way.

I ended up buying Max Payne 3 and I have really enjoyed the first 2 hours or so. Also played some Orcs Must Die 2! and some L4D2.

Of course he wouldn't have done the show any other way. You know how much dough he's making off of it? I think I would enjoy the show more if it consisted of different characters in the same universe, much like the video game. But knowing what I should expect, and seeing AMC completely ruin it (thanks for two seasons of Shane, he was dead by like the 5th issue of the comic), really made me start to avoid the show. I still watch it, but mainly because it's like a trainwreck; it's terrible but I can't look away.

I lost 2 scars and 3 m4s tonight because the game minimized on me while fighting a zombie. But they did open up liek 100+ more public servers per region.

Can't say I've ever heard someone so vehemently call the show trash

They kept Shane alive longer because he was an intriguing character and it built suspense to have him stick around, especially to those who read the book who are saying, "when's this going to happen already?!".

I've read up to #94 or so, in a few months I'll probably catch up. I'd heard enough differences to make me not terribly interested in the show, then my kid started watching it on Netflix, and I'm sticking by my decision to not watch.

I didn't really find his characterization intriguing in the comic

And if Rick's hand doesn't get cut off, the show ups the fail considerably.
