Olympus E-PM1 $199 or E-PL2 $199 or $220 with 14-42mm II lens refurbished FS Cameta

I have the E-PM1 and it takes very good photos. The interface is a bit clumsy but it's a good mix between point and shoot and a manual. The price is about $100 less than what I got it for last year. The refurb was like new.

I am critical of it in my review as i was expecting $500 worth of camera + additional $$ for the prime lens.
Well worth $230 if you're looking for a P&S.
Just dont buy too much into it and start upgrading and spending more $$, it has its shortcoming and the epm2 or other makes will do better for the $$$.

Great review. I just purchased the E-PM1, let's see how it goes.

I have just started looking for a nicer point and shoot in the $250 range.
I need one that turns on and can take pictures quickly with subjects that will be still for only a short time.

I thought I had settled on the Panasonic lumix lx7 for it's quick operation, being "ok" for indoor use and sometimes going on sale in my price range.

So after setting up the deal alert I find this deal and looked up the E-PM1 sample pictures at dpreview.com.There side by side the E-PM1 pictures look a lot more detailed at the same ISO

I am pretty new to all this,however this E-PM1 seems like a much better deal, is it?

Any info would be appreciated!

For fast focus and indoor shots, a dSLR would work better, but costs more. I think a E-PM1 is a nice combination of small size and decent performance, and will have a fast autofocus. Only issue is that E-PM1 has no built in flash, comes with an attachable one which could be a hassle. The E-Pl2 is slightly bigger but comes with a built in pop-up flash, which could come in really handy for quick indoor shots.

Thanks for giving me even more things to consider! (repped!)
This is also going to be used as a jacket pocket camera so size does factor a bit into it.

So I think one of the smaller 4/3rds cameras on a slick deal or refurb is going to be the best bet,so no more LX7.
