Apple tv 2nd gen refurbished 87.99 on ebay

I ended up ordering 2 via NewEgg and just got the tracking number. Been looking for one of these for a while and wasn't going to pay $200 for it. Thanx, OP!

Who knows how they do it. I've only placed a few orders with Newegg via Ebay and now this is the second cancellation. They ended up making things right on the first one, but if they truly screwed up and don't have enough stock, not too hopeful with this one.

Saw this thread almost immediately when it was posted. Still was too late to score the eBay deal. But fortunately I came back to the thread and saw where OP had posted the direct Newegg link. Managed to place that order b4 it went out of stock. And now my order has shipped! :-)

what makes these worth $200 compared to the latest version is it supply and demand? weren't these $90 new? Why not buy the new one for this price?

Because this is a discontinued model that has a great advantage over the newer model. It can be jailbroken and modded to watch TV shows and movies from a file sharing community online. Most people who own this thing can ditch their cable company because of all the content you can find...

It's selling for over 200 pretty much everywhere.

The new version can't be jailbroken? is that the only reason why the old version is selling for so much? Hardware wise how do they compare? I imagine once the new version is jaillbroken then then that'll kill off this one?

Did anyone receive their order yet? They shipped me a 3rd generation AppleTV and not 2nd!!!! Anyone else have this issue?
