Does this show only the live feed. Is there a way to go back to the previous days recording etc.?

No software needed for motion detection alert. You get alert in email or it will start uploading images to your FTP server. No video recording on ftp server just images.
Video recording required software. |

I already have a Motorola video baby monitor. Anyone care to share why I'd use this one instead of the Motorola besides the network function?

After reading reviews and searching for sample images, I bought a black one. I plan to use it as a baby monitor so I will be hopeful that it works as advertised! Thanks!

I've read some risks associated w/ opening up ports for these units and inviting hackers into your computer, can anyone talk to this??
