I believe he is mentioning the browser lag that is present in most of the Transformers including the TF700. Stock browser is slow and unresponsive if compared with other Tablets with same specs.
Alternative browsers can present the same behaviour and this is one of the reasons I sold my TF300 combo.
I can browse faster and with no lag on my Samsung Tab 10.1 with a Tegra 2 processor.

The 301 comes with both Android Browser and Chrome. Did you see the lag on Chrome?

I agree - the lag is BAD on all browsers. If my TF300T hadn't been a gift, I would have returned it. My iPad 2 is considerably more responsive and overall faster than the ASUS.

Why isn't anyone bringing up the fact that this only has 1GB of RAM? That seems like the real limiting factor here.

Also, I believe the 201 has a slightly higher-clocked Tegra3 variant than the 300 does. IIRC, the 300 is the slower 1.3Ghz Tegra3 shared with the Nexus 7. The TF201 is the "standard" T3 and the TF700 has the highest-clocked variant. They all suffer from hideously slow disk i/o and sluggish NAND, however. This is still a very solid value, however. If the Nexus 10 32Gb wasn't so horribly overpriced I'd go for it but it's definitely not worth a $140 premium over this one and the N10 also does not include a keyboard and it omits a microSD slot too.

I would not worry about having only 1Gb ram, at least for now. The only Android tablets with 2Gb are the Nexus 10, the Galaxy Tab 10s, and the new Archos line that was just announced yesterday.

I red that Asus tablets have lag with JB not ICS. We should stick with ICS?

Because nearly every other android tablet has 1GB of RAM - the Nexus 10 and Galaxy Note 10.1 being the only tabs with 2GB. The TF300 is intended as a mid/upper-mid range tablet, not to compete with those models (if anything, ASUS not putting 2GB in the TF700 is a bigger deal).

I got TF300 recently from Office Max for $299 - 32GB.

I agree there is a screen lag when browsing on Chrome -I tried other browser and found the same. I did the usual factory reset etc and while it is improved - after sometime its the same.

Then I disabled Chrome (not yet rooted - so cudnt remove it) - this has decreased the screen lag issue.

I was using Swype first which also contributed to the lag. Now that it is also gone - its manageable.
