Edit: reading further, I now see the issue is explained as browser lag. I have experienced that, but nothing horrible. I get the same issue on my netbook. I think some folks are being picky. I am still on ICS because I have not gotten the nerve up yet to address the Flash issue when I upgrade. Last edited by satnav4; 02-15-2013 at 01:11 PM.. |

It's not being picky. Its that products in this price range are available that don't have screen lag. The web browsing experience on an iPad 2 is superior, and can be snagged for cheaper. Last edited by help1; 02-15-2013 at 01:32 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Thumbs up to the deal but remember that
TF700 and TF300 has the nasty slow storage write/read speeds, this will make you pull your hair. Has a fast processor but the storage kill it. Now for 399, the Nexus 10 is a beast on that department. I tell u bc I have it and tried TF700 and 300. Nexus 7 has slow i/o speed but not as bad as the TF series. Thanks |

I own both tf300t 32gb and an ipad 3 16gb and bought it for the same price. The tf300t's browser lags compared to the smooth ipad 3, but for the specs it owns the > ipad 3. The way to get rid of the browser lag is by rooting the tf300t and overclocking it/installing a custom rom. The ipad 3 is way smoother and user friendly but it was limited to 16gb. I already have 5gigs remaining. For the price point I would choose the tf300t and root it, or you can have both worlds.
Need to delete Slickdeals off my bookmarks.......!!

Holy smokes! I hadn't heard about the new Archos tablets and just noted they are releasing a quad-core, 2GB, IPS screen with dual speakers tabby for $199! http://www.archos.com/products/el...b&lang=en& That's a pretty awesome price. I have the Archos G9 80 (which is a dual core 8" with a TFT screen and built-in GPS). The only thing I don't like about the G9 is the crappy screen angles. There's an awesome community for the G9 and Archos is still supporting it with updates. The G9 right now goes for $200 so I'm stunned that their next Gen release replacement for the G9 is the same cost for a much better CPU, GPU and screen. Thanks for noting that. Repped. |

I've had the TF700 Transformer for over 6 months now. It lags like crazy. Once it's finished loading or doing whatever is causing it to lag, then it becomes pretty nice. I believe downloading large files from WIFI and using the tablet is next to impossible as everything is unresponsive. I still prefer it over the iPad because it will play anything you throw at it through "drag and drop" in explorer. I will never use iTunes again. Make an iPad with "drag and drop" and I'll buy it. Are there any good android tablets that don't lag?
