I bought them when I saw them this morning but didnt post because i wouldnt consider this a slick deal. 4.99 is MSRP. Free shipping is nice, but only prime members will get it because you can only buy 5 unless you get a filler item. Free tax for me, but not for everyone, so its really only a "good deal" with prime and if you live in a tax free state. If you ever buy anything from lego.com they are regularly 4.99 and they dont add shipping on for this item (usually).

I get hit with sales tax from Amazon in KY, but Lego.com does NOT charge me sales tax. There is a Lego Club with a few percent rewards - I cannot remember the exact amount. Lego DOES add shipping, even for this, but it's a fixed amount depending on your order (box size/weight is totally unrelated) except for their rare free shipping specials. The $4.99 price on these at Lego.com means that you can routinely add one or two to an order and you are still below the next shipping break point. Hope this helps someone.

Sorry, missed the notification on your quoting me. Wasn't trying to TC you, just clarifying for anybody considering this shipping-wise as my daughter got into Technics this Xmas. I had to order some stuff from Lego.com, and the details are still mostly fresh in my memory. You made a useful post, I was just filling in some details - and I also grump about Amazon and sales tax, as we've been stuck with here in Kentucky for years.
