Worst thing about this is when the 4GB drive dies with all your data on it.......now what?
I learned my lesson when I bought a 1GB and just finished backing up my data and deleting it from my laptop to free up space. Drive died and data could not be recovered. Next time I may have to buy two to have a backup of a backup lol. |

my seagate 3tb backup plus from last august has been causing me issues lately. very slow in response and i have to disconnect/reconnect multiple times in order to regain functionality. i'd think twice before pulling the trigger solely based on size or price.

I'm just not so sure that I'd trust putting 4TB worth of "eggs" in one basket. Especially a basket that's made by Seagate... Seems like too much data to trust on one drive with no redundancy to me! But, for the cost (and those of you with enough balls to trust Seagate with that much info!) it seems like a good deal.
