I bought a refurbished Fujitsu Lifebook T5010 for less than $700 and sold it 2 years later at a $200 loss so that's comparable to the resale value of your Mac Last edited by dubleo; 02-15-2013 at 08:51 PM.. |

My fiance had an October 2010 (first gen of the new design) C2D 13" 128gb and I sold it about four months ago for $750. I thought that was a decent deal, given she got two solid years out of it and I paid $1300+tax for it. I gave her my 2011 13" i7/256gb (same one you have). I figured it would be worth more than a g-note. Oh well, glad it's still in perfect condition. I bought Applecare a couple of days before the first year ran out. The thing is running very strong and is still super-quick. Honestly, I could see it lasting another few years for her. She's in fashion and uses the Adobe suite all of the time, along with email/internet/etc. It's great for her, especially when she brings it into work. Nice and light, doesn't really take up much room in her bag. I'd hold on to your Air. If she didn't have the C2D I bought her in 2010, I'd have just bought her something new and kept my Air. |

Now, some people may not notice the difference, but I do. It's painful using anything other than a retina display after using one. It's that simple. |

The only thing holding me to pull the trigger is that
1. HD4000 GPU is not enought for the resolution, there are several complains about scrolling lag. 2. in June 2 the new gen intel will be ready to ship and they are a beast, 300% faster CPU, 200% faster GPU, low power. 3. Per roadmap of intel a "mid" entry laptop should have a 1900x1080 screen, I want to think that finally the macbook pro will receive this much needed upgrade. Apple cannot ignore this issue anymore. therefore normal mbp would be also awesome http://www.tomshardware.com/news/...15329.html Don't think that these discounts are simply bc apple is so kind. I want to keep my next laptop for 4 years at least if i'm paying 1500usd Last edited by robrob777; 02-15-2013 at 10:47 PM.. |

Amazon has it for $1519 with no tax and free shipping. It comes out to be like $60 cheaper that MacMall. You don't get Parallels but I'm not interested in that anyways. http://amzn.com/B007472SZ2 |
