The wii U online store, lack of classic games?

I haven't really gone online with the Wii U, but I believe to access all the classic games from past years you have to boot up the system in the original Wii mode. Then from there you should be able to access the online store with the downloadable games. I'm not 100% sure if that will work since I haven't tried it myself.

the classic games selection on wiiu, the virtual console, is still being rolled out.

basically, it hasn't launched yet, and will be soon in the next few months. from what i understand, a game or two will be 30 cent every month.

Odd that they have to roll out each game separately. Figured that once they get an emulator working, they would roll out everything at once.

Basically it comes down to Nintendo having no idea what the hell they're doing with regard to online and/or marketplace stuff.

Agreed. Do you know it costs $1 for a nes game or $1.50 to REBUY the same stuff you already bought on the original wii when you get a wii u. Now I never had a wii, but my god if I was a loyal nintendo person I would be up in arms. Honestly they wonder why people download ROMS. $6 dollars for a nes game? Seriously? Someone wrote an article about how they'd sell 20x as much games if they were $1 nintendo needs to get a clue.

I agree. Nintendo owns full rights on many of those older Nintendo games so they should be able to price them low if they want to.

Have you ever looked at the resale values of the old games? Super Smash Bros for the N64 sells for $30+. Harvest Moon 64 sells for $40+ and at one point sold for $60+. Both of these games are way cheaper on virtual console. Do I think the prices should be lower? Sure. But will I pay the prices that Nintendo set? Yep because it's way better than the alternative and I don't need another game system and cartridges sitting around. I live in a tiny apartment so that's a big deal to me.

And for the re-buying, as far as I understand you aren't going to be forced to re-buy the games you already bought on the Wii. The only reason to re-buy would be for the extra features, namely playing on the tablet and miiverse integration.

So does Mr. Dream fight just like Mike Tyson or what? I played this and beat it back when Tyson was the final character. I had no idea who Mr. Dream was till someone in GL told me he replaced Tyson.
