fcuk i didn't read the "care" on AppleCare

is that good deals ?
I have mac pro early 2011 but the warranty have 3 month left. Can i apply that for my mac ?

You can buy an extended warranty through your credit card company (if you bought it with a credit card). Most credit cards allow this (visa, mastercard, american express).

It'll probably cost you less than $100, and when I did it, it covered the laptop for 4 years, and includes covering the battery (so, same coverage as applecare, but cheaper and longer extension).

Plus, depending on the problem you're having with your laptop, they might just cut you a check for the price you paid for it, instead of replacing it with the same model.

Not a huge apple fan by any means, but I think anyone that says something is the same coverage as applecare should tell folks about the 3 year phone support (generally rated #1 in customer service btw). You do not get that with other plans.

I thought that you bought these over priced pieces of hardware bc they were well built and meant to last years. Now you add this and the price tag increases even more? What retards the general public are when it comes to electronics

Some people appreciate post purchase support. Just because you don't doesn't make them retards, to use your unrefined vocabulary. Apple hardware is far from overpriced if you consider the support provided in terms of software compatibility over the lifetime of the hardware. Try getting windows 8 drivers for a 2 year old Asus. Or just take my word for it that it's a nightmare.

Apple products are nightmares for people who have any technical expertise (ie: those who actually know how to utilize computers).

I was helping a neighbor with computer problems recently (can't use hotmail any longer due to an outdated macosx, odd as it sounds) and no way to update to the latest (or even a more recent) osx, due to a lack of support on Apple's part. I could easily have removed the macosx and installed windows 7/XP, which does offer support and a means to update basic web plugins and functionality, but that would have been too easy. Long story short, my neighbor had to switch over to gmail, as basic web pages would not load properly, due to the fact that he couldn't update the Mac drivers/system

So I will leave off that thought with a bit of wisdom...

So with all your amazing computer knowledge you couldn't figure out how to install a different browser? The ability to access hotmail has nothing to do with your hardware. I'm still on Snow Leopard with a 7 year old MacBook and the latest version of Firefox runs fine and has no problem with hotmail.

I brought the macbook retina. Which one is good ? Squaretrade or Apple Care. I know squaretrade gives ADH so it is better than that Applecare. Also, I have 1 yr extended warranty from Discover. The apple care at B&H 179 is near same as that of Squaretrade 196. I am planning to stick with squaretrade, but need your opinion also.
