I am not so sure if its as big of an upgrade for you. I think that performance will be better, but 4890 cf is nothing to shake a stick at. Heck, I'm not a crazy gamer, but I know that my 4850 cf setup was still ok although not great. 4850x2 is still tier 6 or 7 on the toms hierarchy. I know cf doesn't scale QUITE as much as an x2, but its close. |

i agree the price point is great but i dont mind spending a little more for future proofing + a quiet card
i thought this price point was something i couldnt walk away from...at $150 its a no brainer. at $220, and then dealing with a sale for potentially 30-40, only brings it down to 180. the 180-240 space is pretty crowded with video card deals, all be it mostly with MIR. according to tomshardware, this card and the 660ti perform about the same and here is a 660 ti deal that was only $180. so it appears this 180 price point is the bottom right now for this tier. i believe i've seen numerous 660ti deals for 220-240 http://slickdeals.net/f/5747444-G...-me-newegg shrug Last edited by dederpes; 02-16-2013 at 08:49 AM.. |

so is this the only 7870 card available with the Tahiti core at this time? This seems pretty good for a ~7950 with 2 good games included and no damn rebate! I wish the Powercolor warranty was serial based like a few of the other brands so then you could resell with the warranty easily if needed.
