You made my coupon clipping wife's morning with this one. Now we have 3 papers hitting our driveway every Sunday morning.

I clicked Place Order and I got to a page that says:


Your request is being processed.


Is that all?

A heads up .... Was going to sign up , but decided to check the reqular price of a sub for the heck of it here : www.ocrsubscribe.com ; and I put in my area code (92584/Riverside county) and said it was not available for delivery in my area code . Funny how the op's link does not mention this at all when checking out and will let you order anyway . Not sure what to do at this point , even though it only for a mear $1

At this point I think I'll use a pre-paid gift card that I will not have/own in a year that way they can not auto renew and just see what happens on the delivery thing .

Same here, but they did e-mail me a confirmation.

not all, only those who are not in their delivery area will get canceled. I'm a current OC Register subscriber and this is a legit promo.

Perhaps it's Orange County only. If they won't hit Riverside, I doubt they'll hit anywhere in San Diego either, with exception of perhaps Oceanside.

edit - Perhaps it's only giving non-OC customers problems on daily issues. The Sunday makes it pretty far south.

I got this offer in the mail and threw it away. I had gotten a subscription from some slickdeal they had on this paper for 2 cents last year. It's generated so much freakin' garbage it wasn't even funny. Most times, they go straight into the recycling can. I'll be happy when it finally goes away.

That being said, it's a great deal for those who need it and would recommend to anyone who lives in the area.

i have a friend whom i passed this on to. Said delivery started yesterday (21th) even though it said 20th on order.
