Free 64GB Solid State Drive w/ purchase of select mini/book pc (NEWEGG)

There are 14 mini/book systems at Newegg that come with a free 64GB SSD. There are various shipping/discount options for them. The last time Newegg offered free SSD's, they sold out pretty quickly. Newegg does this every 3 months or so. There was a thread with a single computer posted around 11 hours or so ago, but it didn't include all the systems.

I am serious considering the following for a HTPC:

$159 Foxconn nt-A3500-0h0WWAEQB AMD A45 (Hudson D1) White Mini / Booksize Barebone System

Even with the bundled SSD, once I add 4-8 GB ram, it will cost over $200 before tax.

I need it to be able to play highly compressed H264 video files at 1080p, that is decrypted from a TrueCrypt volume, without dropping any frames.

Does anyone have any experience with this system or the this AMD A45 chipset?

Read all the reviews. Some state it works but majority state 1080 doesn't work well.
If you check the foxconn website there is a new one coming out the nt-a3800.
Its not out yet but it is with an upgraded cpu and gpu so maybe that will perform better.

If not Zotac ZBOX ZBOXNANO-AD12-U AMD already has the same specs as the not yet released nt-a3800... It is not included in the list of promotion so no ssd and it costs 229...
which is a real bummer. I was waiting for the zotac to go on sale with a free 60gb ssd.

Another bonus about the Zotac zbox ad12 is that it has built in IR receiver and it comes with a remote so you can turn on your htpc from your couch from a complete shutdown with the remote.

kimballanderica New User Member sinceFeb 2013 Posts1 Reputation 10 Followers 0 + Give Rep	I ordered one monday the Zotac AD04 along with 8 gigs of ram (figured overkill but hey RAM is dirt cheap these days) will be running win 7 64 mainly for XBMC/WMC for live tv maybe some light MAME been keeping my eye on it for a while with the SSD makes it well worth it reppin you beat me to the punch as far as putting it up here tell ya how it goes.

the AMD is quite a bit better - faster CPU and usb 3.0 (also double the memory capacity, but that really won't make a difference on such as system)
