PC Help
Started today vlc windows media player keeps crashing not responding when it does work can't hear audio not sure what's going on?Windows 7 Last edited by Bi0hAzArD; 02-16-2013 at 03:27 PM.. |

What is the error message...
Have you tried reinstalling vlc? Is this with all videos or just one? Have you tried more then one video....? How about just opening an audio file.... Can you hear stuff via youtube or any audio for that matter? You did not exactly give us a lot to go off of.... ....

VLC is crashing?
Windows media player is also crashing? or something else? Does sound play fine from other audio sources? Do you get any error messages when a crash occurs? Have you tried other files? Have you reinstalled VLC? Perhaps reinstall GPU driver. Vague questions receive vague answers . . . . . .

sounds like some files were corrupted and/or your favorite antispyware program did something.

all videos already reinstalled vlc about to reinstall video card drivers.

Reinstalled drivers switched back to pc speakers using Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Sound Card but now pc locks up takes forever to load anything might need to reinstall windows.

I'm not suggesting that it will resolve all your problems, but it will guarantee that you don't do a fresh install on a corrupt hard drive. |

When was the last time video worked as you expected? What changed between that time and now that it's not working? Windows updates? Software installs? Driver updates? Etc...

It was either flash player plugin or audio driver after updating those 2 things seems to be working once again thanks for all the help.

Problem is worse now firefox internet explorer lock up keep getting flash plugin crashed, Could it be my SSD Crucial m4 128GB? Going to be doing a fresh install might be better to return it get a new one.

SSD? From what I'm told, the M4 is a very stable SSD, so I'd be more inclined to believe that the OS is corrupt, than to think that the SSD is toast. |
