I can see myself using this for bar hangouts when I want to whip out my ID and cash quickly, but other than that I've never understood why anyone would desire one. I realize the "minimal" aspect and lack of bulk are nice, though. I just have too many reward type of cards to carry around, for multiple department stores, as well as multiple ID cards (Costco, bus card , etc).
Seems like a lot of switching items back and fourth from a wallet to a clip for a lot of people.
Also, leather wallets are just too sexy.
If your pants are too tight while using a clip and sitting down, it could be painful or eventually tear through; many have extremely rough corners and these complaints arent too uncommon.
...That all said, I'm in for one because this one looks a lot thicker and sturdier than others...Even compared to the overpriced $15 - 20 ones Ive seen.
I bought these about a week ago at the same price when I bought some collar stays of the same brand from amazon.com. Although the money clip looks very nice, the clip itself is not very functional. You see, the metal is thick all around, making it really hard to actually bend and hold anything. I've had money clips in the past, and never had an issue like this.

You missed most of what I said. I carry the bare minimum. Now that I don't use a wallet, I don't keep anything that's unnecessary. A wallet is bulkier, and now that I'm keeping my things in my front pocket, everything is more secure, as well as taking up less space. Frankly, it's more convenient as well as liberating to use a clip. As a guy who used a wallet, I used to imagine how awful it was to be a lady that had a purse. Now that I don't use a wallet, I look at guys who do pretty much in the same manner.
In terms of keeping everything together, I don't really see a big difference between a clip and a wallet. Put it where you please, and it will hold the things you put in it in close proximity.
I go to school in a pretty bad part of North Philly. Discretion at all times is key, no matter how you choose to carry your important stuff. I see your point about people easily seeing how much you are carrying, but if you are smart about it, it's really a non-issue. Now I remove my card or a bill before I get into a cashier's line.
how about a tyvek wallet then? they are pretty slim
So I got the clips today and am happy to report that the diamond design on the back was indeed an error. It's brushed stainless just like the front.
It's a nice looking clip but like the previous poster said, it's quite strong so getting cards in and out takes a bit of work. But perhaps this is the better side of that issue since it's unlikely you'll ever have cards or cash falling out.
It is stiff but i would rather it this way than have cash falling out in my pocket. I just put the cash into the clip by sliding the folded corner into the opening on the side of the clip. Im also expecting it to loosen up a bit after some use....
