Yah, but adding it online won't give you the bonus. I had to call in to get the bonus. I waited 3 weeks for it to show up. The rep said that it will add the receipt but not the bonus and said to just make sure you give the phone number or ID first.

Did they get your phone number? Or did you use a maxperk paper (the ID is on the paper and they could have entered it without asking you)?

I have not done an online order for in-store pickup myself but I have reports from a couple of reliable sources that online orders for in-store pickup -- at least those paid for online -- count as online orders for bonus rewards purposes. Not sure about if the order is paid for in-store.

In your experience with online orders for in-store pickup noted above, did you pay for the order online or in-store?

Nothing actually, I just showed the guy the confirmation email on my phone. He remembered the items (2 office supplies) and looked for them. When he came back with the items, he checked my order number once and asked if I need a bag. He did not even ring/scan the items.

I paid for it online. There is a way to pay for the order in store? That is interesting.

My guy didn't even have the courtesy to ask if I needed a bag. I had to ask HIM.

No problems with rewards showing up, though. This was only my first time using instore pickup.

It depends on the stores, but recently I have better luck. My store used to deny any non-manuf cartridges but lately it is not enforced any more. I guess it is due to the recent change in policy from $60 to $20 a month recycle.

OfficeMax use to be picky. Now mostly not.

As a member of MaxPerks Rewards, simply bring in any visibly undamaged originally manufactured ink/toner cartridges to an OfficeMax retail store and earn a $2 reward per qualified cartridge, with a maximum reward of $20 per calendar month per member (or 10 cartridges per calendar month per member). Remanufactured ink/toner cartridges are not eligible for rewards under the recycling program.

Ah your paid it online, so you must have logged in to your account. I bought some paper straight from the store.

They're not supposed to permit you to use MaxPerks certificate without your MaxPerks Reward card, in case you are rolling.

Every time I've done one of these deals in store, they have always asked for my card. Doing things by the book in Los Angeles, CA.

Yah, must have been a simple mistake by them. Just wanted to share just in case (or rather avoid) it happens to anyone else here.

My store doesn't always scan my perks ID when using my certificate rewards. Just depends on who is checking you out at the register.
