BioShock Ultimate Rapture Edition: BioShock 1 and 2 + Bonus Content (Xbox 360 or PS3) $20

The Bioshock 1 & 2 Bundle (PC) were $5 on Amazon.com not too long ago...

I picked them up when that sale was going on...but it looks like they don't have anymore codes left.

I am new to the PS3 and gaming world...So please excuse the following question.

I have Bioshock 1 & 2 on my PC (Got it for $5 on Amazon). Just started playing 1, and am blown away.

I am thinking of buying a PS3 soon, when the prices drop after the announcement of the 4, and I'd like to ask you all, is there ANY difference between the Bioshock that I am playing on the PC and the Bioshock that's for the Playstation?

P.S- Any chance of this set dropping in price as the months go by? Since I already own in on my PC, I don't want to buy it again...but I'd like to own it at some point, because it just feels like one of those games that I'd like to play again on a big screen.

I just finished Bioshock 2 on my PS3 about a half an hour ago, actually.

One thing to note, if you want to install Bioshock 2 and all of the DLC included here, you will need at least 22GB of free space...Bioshock 2 requires 9.4GB alone.

If you're unsure whether you'll like it, why not download the demo off of PSN?

Got in on the PC Deal so I got both for $5 which was awesome IMO, plus the $5 editors coupon.

Great game though.....really enjoying it. $20 for both titles... I don't know... it's not that it's a bad price at all, but after getting both (without DLC) for $5 with a coupon, $20 seems a bit high.

Can 2 be played without playing 1 at all? Or would I lose too much in the story? I have ps+ so I have 2, not really wanting to pay money to add to the backlog tho..

Can you? Yes. Should you? Absolutely not. Bioshock 2 has kind of it's own story but you really need the background of the original to "get" everything that's going on in the second.

Would you kindly buy this Ultimate Rapture Edition. (plagiarized from a previous Bioshock thread.)

Are the DLCs actually on disc or are they stupid online codes? If they're codes, this won't work for me. I already have the DLCs, but wouldn't mind having them for the wife and kid if it's on disc.

I bought the 360 version of the Ultimate Rapture Edition at launch, and it's awesome. It contained 4 discs (two for the main games, and two for each of the games' DLCs) in a trifold heavy-paper case with some great art on the cover, stored in a thin cardboard slipcover. I was on the fence initially as I had already owned Bioshock 2 but the packaging sealed the deal for me. As far as I know, only the 360 version is presented like this, because the PS3 version can store everything on one disc so it's sold in just a regular game case.

Don't think I need to add on to how great the games themselves are; it's basically universally known that the BioShock series is excellent. Just get it.

Not really, you can still buy it from amazon, but it will take sometime for it to ship out now...
