What would you guys recommend for battery maintenance? Should I remove the battery when its at 100% and plugged in?

I got my price adjusted yesterday. They seemed a little skeptical and looked in the computer for a couple minutes, but then adjusted the price. Thanks for whoever pointed me/us to that!

I'm sure they are losing money on it, so they are really not losing anything. At the original price, they were probably only making $10 - $20 on it.

I just try to unplug it every once in a while and run it down to ~50% or so. If you're going to remove it, only charge it to 40% or so. That's how they store best. Todays batteries are pretty forgiving, so you dont need to do too much to keep them healthy.

I'm seriously considering buying the Toshiba from Staples and returning the Lenovo based on how OD's management handled the coupon situation.

Yes you should sell it for your money plus shipping or sell it local. OD has a 15% restocking fee if opened.

how is it a profit for him if he couldn't get the coupon to be honored?

Umm I cant get to an od so I pay shipping plus his costs and convienve fee. Return will net way less

So I tried streaming Netflix on my 46" TV using HDMI out but it lags and won't play. Is this because the dedicated graphics card can't handle it?

NO, if they piss people off they are LESS likely to shop there at ALL. Ever heard of penny wise but pound foolish? Turning away a customer for ANY reason could end up costing them much more in the long run...

Though I agree the original cost on these models was probably about $299 so they were losing money when people got to use the coupon. I will remember that they let me use two of these coupons though and when I can I will throw them more business with price matches etc...

No, keepit plugged in. Win 7 and win 8 will auto shut off the power when its 100%

My wife's Acer Netbook gave up just last night ( luckily I had bought 2 yr service plan from target for $ 17.00) So went to nearest Office Depot and asked the sales guy couple of irrelevant questions and asked about service plan , he got excited and then I casually asked "you do accept competitors coupons? He was like "yeah sure". I did buy 2 yr service plan , which I will cancel tomorrow.

true.. i bought this one and then tried to use the coupon and they say no.. went to another store to buy another one, asked over the phone about the coupon then drove 1 hr and after i arrive there the manager says no, this coupon is for windows 8RT, not for windows 8 systems.. wtf.. if they cant honor then they should disclose clearly they r never gonna honor competitors coupon.. why is such game with customers.. they lost me as a customer for ever for sure..

I'm amazed how confused OD is over this.

It says Windows 8/RT. The "/" to mean in addition to. Plus you click on the coupon and it brings up tons of Windows 8 laptops.
