It isn't the fastest in the world. I let it autodetect and choose for me. 4 hours I think.

This is ok, because I used to use a Rayovac 1 hour charger and I am pretty sure it destroyed all the batteries I used with it. 4 years later and none of those batteries work anymore. Then again those were crappy Rayovac and Enegerizer NIMH batteries and they kind of sucked anyway. But I am not risking my precious Eneloops to that 1 hour pressure cooker!

Remember to read the manual, the different modes are confusing at first.

Nope.

I don't use anything but Eneloops so the batteries are worthless. Adapters can be bought for a few bucks but to me, using 2000mAh in Cs Ds defeat the purpose of using C and D size batteries in the first place. So adapters, worthless. I don't carry the charge anywhere, so the case is worthless as well.

i have tried many batteries ni-cd and ni-mh. Then I bought duracell branded (Eneloops) and the 2nd gen eneloops. These are the best ni-mh batteries i have used. I also use this same charger and i would recommend this combo to anyone looking for rechargeable batteries.

why don't they sell the BC 900 on sale? I thought in the past, I heard there were some flammable issues with the BC 700 model?
