Great Battery Tester
For anyone looking for a great battery tester (not the cheap volt-meter ones) to go along with this charger, I'd highly recommend the $32 (made in America) ZTS Mini-MBT Multi Battery Tester (available at Amazon or B&H photo): "ZTS microprocessor-controlled instruments are the most accurate and versatile battery testers you can own. Each tester computes the battery's remaining power capacity using a fully automatic, high accuracy pulse load test. After the timed test cycle, percentage of remaining battery capacity is indicated on the LED bar display. Battery types clearly labeled next to appropriate contacts. Test many popular batteries including NiMH, lithium, alkaline, coin type and more. Know exactly how much life is left in your batteries. Test and replace batteries before they let you down. There are two models to choose from." http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/c...271&is=REG http://www.amazon.com/ZTS-Mini-Ba...S+Mini-MBT |

in like Flynn + a ¿?
Repped OP. I'm in for a smart charger finally.Somehow the charger was not taxed. I'm still confused about Amazon adding tax to orders they would not have before the new 2012 laws that have Amazon (+ some more online merchants) taxing now in my state. I still don't understand why some Amazon fullfilled/sold items are taxed + others aren't. Anyone have any insight as to this? Thanks everyone for your comments explaining the difference between chargers. Last edited by shirleyuguest; 02-19-2013 at 03:26 AM.. If you have extra batteries to use, you don't need to burn them up trying to put 1.5 amps into them. I use 4 AAs for a digital camera and I keep a spare set in the camera case. When it goes low, I switch to the spare set and then charge up the others which then become the spare set. That way, I never run out- not even for 20 minutes! Got a question for those who have this already...
So if I have not been using an advanced charger like this but a standard one where you have to charge the batteries two at a time and it doesn't tell you when it is completed... What should I do with those batteries once I get this charger to make sure they are "maximized"? Refresh all of them? |

I just got mine in the mail.
So far, it's telling me most of my old batteries are pretty bad(as expected). Cant wait to discharge/charge them to refresh them and see if I can bring them back to life. They have trouble powering my mouse and remote, even! So happy about this purchase. Last edited by McNutsack; 02-25-2013 at 08:38 PM.. |
