They use Reach multi on the anniversary, not the original Halo's multi. And I would say i spent tons of hours on the xbox and pc playing Halo CE multi, 1,2 and 3 had the best multiplayer IMO

Title Update… Update?
In early January, we announced that we had started work on a title update for Halo 4. That work is nearing completion, and it is expected to release within the next two weeks. It addresses some of the concerns we’ve been hearing from the community, but just to set your expectations accordingly, we know we still have work to do. There’s more balancing to be done and more issues to address, and we are actively working with the Halo 4 game team to investigate the feasibility of additional fixes. We’ll share the complete change list after it launches, but here are a few of the big ticket items:
• Reduced the range of the Boltshot’s damage scaling over distance. The previous effective range for 1-hit kills was 20'-25'. The range has been reduced to 15'.
• Fixed an issue that did not allow players to create respawn timers or disable instant respawn in custom games.
• Fixed issues with friendly fire against vehicles. If FF is disabled, damage / EMPs from friendly sources will no longer damage vehicles that are fully controlled by your team.

Keep an eye out for the complete change list once the TU is live.

addition of a 1-50 ranking system will also come in April.

No new "maps" unless you pay for them. I suggest you don't, no one buys them and no one plays them. They do add new user-made maps from forge maps into rotation, however.

I have to admit I've been seeing a lot of the Halo 4 DLC maps show up in regular match making voting.

I got both map packs for free by buying Halo 4 on launch day at the Microsoft store (they gave everyone a $25 GC that could be used only for the map pack once it was released) and I think 343 even (accidentally) gave away a bunch of map packs. Maybe there are just more people playing the DLC because the game is still new - but either way it seems like more people HAVE the DLC maps available at least.

Love halo. but these new developers killed the multiplayer competitiveness. There is a reason why halo got dropped from MLG.... it sucks (for now)

New XBOX will be out in Nov 2013.
I'm sure a Halo 4 will debut on that system with new UPDATED maps and prob. include all your favorites from Halo 1,2 and 3.

They tried to duplicate that hype by bringing out Perfect Dark Zero on the 360 launch and FAILED.

I have strong feeling : HALO will be part of the New System Launch one way or another.

And Yes, as compared to HALO 3... HALO 4 is better because This isn’t Bungie’s Halo anymore – it’s better. Halo 4 is of 343 Industries...and IMPROVED!
