https://discussions.apple.com/thr...0&tstart=0 So looks like Z/A = Singapore I try to avoid buying non LL/A models because of resale down the road, and plus don't some countries have localized keyboards (printed on the keycaps)? I originally looked this page up because I bought from eBay seller johny641 (deals are often posted here on SD, for example: http://slickdeals.net/f/5664868-j...bay-bucks?) I bought from there and it ended up being E/A, and there was NO mention of this In the auction page at all (referenced LL/A in title, description, etc). It was a pain and I had to pay return shipping. I really hate eBay sometimes, since I can't even leave negative feedback for misleading auction and I see this seller is even featured in eBay's own "deal of the day." I'd wait for Haswell before buying either though. If you want a Windows based laptop , there are lots of high end ones to choice from but you might not be able to afford them. Here are some simple examples: For a 15.6" workhorse I'd recommend the HP Elitebook 8570w ( get the 10 Bit IPS panel option) For a 13" tablet I'd recommend the Fujitsu Lifebook T902 Panasonic ToughBooks are nice as well. ![]() I guarantee it since I have 2 reasons. My first reason is that Macs hold their value many times better than any Windows computer EVER WILL. Secondly, if you were to poll people using an SRS, I would say over 50% would take the Mac over the Windows since I know many people that would love to have a Mac but can not afford one. Let me ask you, Would you take a free Mac over a Windows laptop? |

The funny thing is that Apple laptops are so cheap since they don't have the quality of this [cdw.com] machine.
I wonder how many people that buy Apple laptops can afford that. Buying a Windows based machine doesn't mean that you can't afford a Mac based one. Last edited by dubleo; 02-17-2013 at 05:09 PM.. |

Currently giving helpful/hilarious posts: 4 rep points
If the price is low, but the product is junk, it's not a deal. Currently thumbs downing all >$0.33/gig Samsung TLC 840 SSD "deals" and dual core "MBP" deals. |

You don't make movies, so you can't criticize Battlefield Earth, Gigli, Santa with Muscles, etc. You don't raise your own cows and bake your own buns, so you can't criticize McDonalds. |

Don't knock 1280x800. I have the previous generation of this Macbook and have grown to love the resolution. On a 13" monitor, it's perfect. Granted, my Macbook isn't my primary machine, so I might feel differently otherwise, but I really enjoy things on the screen being a size that's still quite legible if your face is 3-4' from the screen.
