Free Laminator Fellows Saturn 2 95 @ Staples AR & Price Match

I understand the rewards justification but am still wondering if the Staples machine is really a better machine. Not a bad price after rebate and wouldn't mid waiting for the rebate if I am getting a better laminator. I've also been shopping them and also have seen numerous $20 ones and have the same question as to the quality of the item and if it justifies waiting for the rebate.

I cant answer that but I am betting I use the same 3M unit you do and I have no problems with it. I will not be opening one of these new ones.

I don't have a laminator as of yet, that's why I'm interested. I really do need one. Should only get moderate use to laminate some charts I use for fishing. Don't think I can justify waiting for the rebate unless are hear some more evidence that this unit is way better than the others I have seen. Think I'm going to go with the Costco one. Thanks for the feedback.

My post was a tad bit rhetorical, though I realize now it didn't come off that way.

Laminators like what I posted and the OP posted are very, very simple machines. It's nothing more than a pair of rollers with a heat strip. The heat strip has a thermostat on it so as not to overheat. You could actually use a flat, hard board (like masonite) and a piece of parchment paper to cover the lamination pouch, then use a flat iron to seal it.

Like I said, the machines are very basic, the "magic" is in the pouches / sleeves.

That Staples deal at regular price is a complete bend-me-over rape. Even the "regular" rebated price is still weak, since you can buy the same thing without a rebate. Those that are able to weasel the PM on a clueless CSR will get a nice deal, but otherwise, I think you're better off going to Walmart and getting the Scotch unit that includes 20 pouches. The pouches alone are worth ~$5.

Did anyone buy from store and get it price matched with amazon? I have staples gift card and the sad part is they don't allow gift cards to use them online

There are several free after reward/rebate paper & photo paper deals this week. You may consider jump into these deals to use up your GC...Search for Staples ad thread for more detail.

Reps have instructions from corporate to deny PM due to rebate.
To cancel or fleabay it that is the question.
