Picked one up; it's definitely a good deal. A random customer saw me buying, asked how much I got it for and when I told him the price he seemed pretty surprised and said he'd have to tell his friends. He asked the Target rep until when the model was on sale and he said Saturday so, according to him, this deal will only be available until 2/23. As someone said earlier, it's made of cheap plastic, I could feel it bend as I pulled the TV out of the box and it even made some clicking noises, which was worrisome but it doesn't look like I caused any damage from just pulling it out. It looks expensive, however, and with a small bezel. I didn't notice any dead pixels. The remote is pretty much worthless, as I have to keep pressing the button for the desired function over and over again while waving it in all sorts of directions to get the television to recognize it. The audio sucks, but that's to be expected. I'm fairly certain I saw a 3.5 mm jack in the back so I can plug in my computer speakers, but I'll have to check again when I get home. I also bought the warranty for $30. I'm happy with the purchase so far.

I was looking for a TV for the garage and this fits the bill nicely. I was going to troll craigslist, but this might be a smarter option. The price is quite good. My other option was to buy another 39" Insignia 1080p, but that is another $70 on sale. I really like the one I have already.

That last one is what I currently have in the office. I got it on sale for $370, plus cash back from FW and a $25 gift card for ordering online for store pickup through a BB promotion. It's a great TV. Crazy thin, three HDMI inputs and a very nice picture.

Well, I bought this basically sight unseen yesterday. The base seemed sturdy, I have a sound bar so sound is not an issue, and I didn't notice any dead pixels from my couch in my cursory viewing of some HD Vudu movies. This is my first HD TV, so I'm sure that if I compared a higher-end set, I wouldn't be as impressed, but as of now I'm thrilled. I am tempted to buy a warranty though, as I'm always nervous about non name brands' longevity.

Deal is dead. Went to 3 target and the same thing happened.
1. Not on display 2. Asked if they had them and they said no. 3. Asked them to check inventory because my phone said in stock. They looked it up and said no 4. Asked them to look in back. At that point all 3 stores were able to locate them. 5. Price was 379$ 6. Went home to find better TV for 500ish

I bought the extended warranty for $30 for same reason - I'm currently experiencing instances where picture goes black periodically - need to troubleshoot my Genie mini box/connection before blaming the TV. May even be a power saver mode I need to adjust - will have to tinker with it when I have more time... Anyone else run into this and find a fix? Thx! |
