Yes, there is no GSM.
Yes, you are throttled after 2.5GB. It is still a dang good deal for a mid range Droid phone and a cheap(er) cell plan. It is a good option for a lot of people and this is one of the first non sucky Droid phones on Virgin and Boost. Thumbs up from me. Good phone, I picked it up off of the hsn deal last month. There's no slowdown with this 4.0 version. Phone is fast, 4g is fast and with boost you actually get unlimited everything. I've never hit 4gigs so I've never experienced throttling.with wifi everywhere i cant see who would. i get unlimited tethering free with fox fi as well. For $35.00 per month it hasn't failed me. I'm also in nj and never once had a dropped call from Virginia to Massachusetts.
The only down side of boost is the limited phone selection. My first FP Slickdeal!!! UNSC ELEPHANT
