You played 2 hours out of a 40 hour plus game...? That is basically the introduction. If you have given it maybe 5-7 hrs of play time, your comment might have been considered relevant. But you sound like every other butt hurt RPG fanboy who didn't like this game because of silly reasons that you knew would turn you off from it before you even plopped any money down. Ridiculous.

From the standpoint of someone who HAS put a great amount of time into the game (I'm currently 45 hours in, maybe 50% done story-wise...so I've been doing EVERYTHING plus a lot of grinding), it's fantastic. The score is one of the best of not only any RPG, but any game period that I've played before. Graphics are nice to look at...it literally feels like you are playing a cartoon. It is loaded with charm, as you would come to expect from anything Studio Ghibli touches. Story isn't something terribly original, but it does have it's moments where you get really absorbed.

While I appreciate that you aren't attacking anyone, and have been keeping your comments very calm, why are you still here? You have made your point, you don't like the game, that's fine. There are way more people in here that DO like the game though....it's almost like you are arguing with people here to get out your frustration with the game developers.

You have pretty much taken the dead horse and turned it into mashed horse potatos by now dude.

I come back whenever SD calls me back with a notification. If people stop replying to me with "no, you're wrong, it's awesome, dude" messages, I won't have to come back and explain rationally why it's NOT awesome, and in fact very a boring and poorly designed JRPG that's only getting heat because console gamers are desperate for anything with half-decent production values.

I read your post and agree with you 100%. FYI, grinding in 2013 is complete bs. Now that someone mentioned you have to GRIND in this game, makes me feel good about quitting early.

I'm sorry, but nobody can argue the fact that this game is completely childish. It has childish cartoon graphics, and you give "heart" to NPCs in the game ffs. This game is for children. Dark Souls is a japanese RPG that sh-its all over this game in graphics, story, direction, challenge, fun, etc.. I could go on.

I know it sucks (since it is on the Wii) but get Xenoblade. I guess it might be hard now since it's selling used for over $100 on Ebay, but it is amazing. Gamestop even raised their used price to $60. (That's $10 more than the MSRP was for new)
