If this is considered amazing, America is completely starving for a decent JRPG. This would be a 6/10 max in the original PlayStation era when great RPGs were a dime a dozen. |

Damn tempting, the only thing is without prime it usually takes a solid week and a half from order to get the game so at best I'd get it around a week.. which means less than a week till SimCity.. hmmm.

I bought this game full price based on all the reviews. It's a good game but I was expecting a masterpiece. I dunno, just can't really get into it. May put it up on ebay and rebuy when it's cheaper. If you have a backlog, you can probably wait on it

ratings are really good. heard it's freaking awesome. maybe the best rpg since the Final Fantasy's/Chrono Trigger for SNES (which I loved). I was stupid and passed on that 1 day they had the Wizard's Edition presale for $100 then it sold for $500 - $600 during launch week on ebay. Def will pick it up when it drops under $20.

This is definitely in the "must buy" category for me but I still wait for the initial release frenzy to be over. It'll still be the same game several months later but at half the price.

The special edition had a great extra that came with it, a full bound hardcover copy of the Wizard's Companion that is used in the game (that you unlock page by page). It is extremely nice to have, especially when you're doing things like alchemy and need to look up recipes. You don't need to flip between the in-game version and the alchemy interface. To put it in context, it's 300 pages. The official game guide is 330 pages long and probably doesn't contain all of the content. I actually wish there was an eBook version of it... |

When I heard about this game, it sounded right up my alley. Alas, PS3 Exclusive kills it. Oh well.

The storyline and characters are at times corny and the fact that you are a young boy, might make this game hard for some people to get into. The battle system has it's flaws but is party real-time action and turn based and is quite fun. I paid full price at Worstbuy after seeing all the video reviews. I just beat it last night after going 55+ hours. There are post game antics to be had as well. If you take your time to explore and build your characters you can easily get 70+ hours worth of entertainment from this game. |
