I edit video, do a lot in Photoshop and need a lot of ram so I roll with 16GB. Sadly laptops cannot support more or else this thing would be running 32. |

But deals are relative and in the current deal drought I guess you can argue it's alright if you need it right now. But good fast RAM has been selling for $2-$3 a GB. $5 seems pretty poor compared. |

This doesn't seem that great of a price to me considering I paid the same in December of 2011 :\ Shouldn't they be lower by now?

Ahh, got my hopes up for a minute, after finally deciding earlier on this RAM's low profile cousin. Ahh well, nice deal.

I just realized that I bought 4x4GB rather than 2x8GB. Even then I still feel it should just be a teensy bit less expensive

There is no way DDR4 will be mainstream in 2014. The first volume platform that appears that might use it are the Haswell Xeons. IB-E are coming out in Q3 of this year . |
