Need a carfax, any help?
Hey all, Long time slickdealer in need of a carfax. If anyone has an unlimited plan or has any unused carfax's I'd greatly appreciate the help. If so PM me and I'll send over the VIN. Slickdealin' is a way of life...

While I can't offer any carfax help, I'd just like to share something I learned from it:
I bought a used car from a dealer 2-3 years back. Looked nice, drove ok, etc, etc. I asked for the carfax and it only let me know I would be the 3rd owner, but not who the previous owners were. The car had more problems than I could count and would break every 3 weeks. Ended up dumping hundreds if not thousands into it and was forced to trade it for another car over a year ago. I took it to CarMAX just to see what the offer was (didnt know anyone who used it, had no idea their offers were so low), but learned something that floored me: The owner before me was a car rental company in New York City. Had I known, I never would have bought it. Just an FYI that Carfax doesn't give you the full story, ask as many and any questions you want when buying and don't be afraid to ask for their answers in writing. P.S. I love my new car
