Well I went into the store looked at the board with the newspaper ads and went and grabbed a MSI H61M-E33 W8 w/HDMI and not a MSI H61M-P31 w/DVI. The price and rebate is the same for both MoBo but since the ad is now down I can't tell you what version was posted in the Phoenix NEWSPAPER only that they had a shitload of the E33's and I don't recall if they had P31's. Anyway the salesman set the sales price for it and my mistake for not reading the the posting correctly. It was never mentioned during the transaction that I had substituted the wrong board although he did ask me if I wanted the i3-3240 deal now that I think about it. I did not know until after I bought it that it had HDMI which made me very happy as it saved me from grabbing the nVidia 220 and putting it in for HDMI.

Sometimes Frys' does allow Motherboard substitutions on their deals

Update: Fry's website shows only open box items on P31's at the Phoenix store

My order was cancelled due to stock but they are still selling that same at a new higher price.

My order was cancelled as well. Called customer service and was told that the manager of that department isn't in until "sometime this afternoon, maybe after 2" and that I could call back then. Not cool.

The mobo still says in stock on the individual product page and I'd be plenty happy with a back order on the CPU at this price.

Just wanted to drop in an update the others that may have had an order cancelled. I called back later that day and the second customer service rep was more than helpful and took care of the situation. They placed another order for the individual components and then adjusted the CPU down to match the combo price. Just got a shipment notification and should have both pieces early next week

I'm assuming you already have a purchase confirmation given that this was a special order... as long as the actual sale is dated by today your good for the rebate. (I've made the mistake of ordering online with a credit card and using instore pickup..., but when I go for my order the next day I find the actual sale does not occur until I pick it up, so I miss on the rebate date -- frustrating

But if you have an invoice showing the sale as of today, you should be good.
