On Amazon, the Crucial M4 has well over 1000 reviews, and the Samsung Pro only has a little over 100 reviews. So I'd say Crucial is selling 50x the drives compared to what Samsung is selling.

You would think Samsung would come to the realization that by competitively pricing their drives, they'd sell thousands more. I frigging hate when companies sell a slightly better product and gorge their prices.

hence they don't sell so many, it's capitalism. It's their loss.

It has over 1000 reviews because its been out way way way wayyyyyy longer then the 840 has been out (less then a year I believe). Your looking to compare the 830 series if you wanna compare the # of Samsung reviews to the Crucial m4.

Looking for the cheapest 120gb ssd - with reliability for a older IBM laptop. Speeds dont really matter since I can only get sata II speeds. So this will do fine

The Kingston is available at MicroCenter for the same price as Newegg. Of course you pay tax... but at least you can go and pick it up today (if you have a MicroCenter nearby)
