I've seen people mention these here before and looked into them. If they put out a power handle like the Gillette I'll gladly give it a try, but I really need that. When my battery dies mid-shave I go from reasonable comfort to near pain. My beard is thick and tough and the vibration makes a big difference for me.

ok turns out the blades are proprietary to the handles, but a little duck tape and a trip to your local adult store to get a "bullet" would solve your issue. and probably be cheaper than buying a gillette handle.

Double edge shaving is the only way to go, IMO.

I recently made the switch to DE wet shaving and will never go back! Shaving has actually become fun for me. I really enjoy building my own lather using the bowl and badger hair brush.

If anything, atleast get yourself a $20-$30 badger brush and start using that to apply your lather. It will raise the hairs on your face up and give you a better shave.
