Use the online chat function. They adjusted one of my sets no questions asked. As long as it is within two weeks of purchase (at least)

No it doesn't. That's like an $8-$10 piece for the 1/2 drive. $8-10 for the 1/4 + 3/8 drive.

Yes, they do. But as I said in like page 3 of this thread, if you paid with paypal you can only get a gift card (that you can use online) unless you pester a manager into an override for you.

I traded in my 118 piece for the 154. For an extra $15 it's an absolute no brainer to step up.

12pt sockets are pretty much a waste unless you have a 12pt bolt. I see no benefit to them. As far as the completeness of the set, while your set covers quite a bit, I still disagree its everything you need to such as work on a car. And personally I think you did it right by buying the wrenches separately. I just think your argument is weak regarding the completeness of the socket set.
There are a few 12 point bolt applications and you'll be glad to have them. But the other point in tight clearances, 12 point is 50% easier to get on the bolt than the 6. Trust me, sometimes it's near impossible to get the six on and turn it. Just don't use them on tight bolts if at all possible, or with power tools, or you'll have a zero point bolt. Smilie

P.S. There is never everything you need to work on a car, I've got 2 full rolling tool chests stuffed and growing...

yes they do, but make sure that you print out the Sears.com confirmation email (usually the shipped one) that has the Return Code. without the return code they won't be able to do anything for you.

i made the mistake one time of printing out the "Processing Order" email, at which point the order has NOT processed yet and thus has not been assigned a Return Code

Sears can be a PITA sometimes

Just placed an order from my local Atlanta store; I'll pick it up tomorrow. This looks good to keep in the trunk and also perform basic maintenance on the car.
