Was walking though Target yesterday and noticed the Westinghouse 50" LED 1080p 60Hz TV [] was on limited clearance for $299.99 (reg $599.99 previous sales for $499.99)

Talked to the guy at the tech department and while there were none out front he said there were a few in the back and the deal was live (Sawmill Rd/Dublin OH location)

Might be worth checking out to see if other stores had the same offer

it comes with 4 black philip screws so you can mount to the stand.
Thanks much for your insightful help. If anyone else has a real solution, please let me know. I'm trying to mount it on the wall.

Can anyone recommend a wall mount for this? Putting one up in a small store.

I've used both for Plasma up to 60"...rock solid mounts

Looking for one of these today at my local stores. Was going to get a 40" for the bedroom but I won't complain about the larger size (that's what she said?). Anyway, regarding the mount, if you aren't looking for anything too fancy (basic up/down tilt) check this out:

I got one for my 46" LED for the living room and love it. Cheap, works like a charm and comes with a free 10' HDMI cable. Plus it ships free with prime. I already ordered another one knowing I was going to get another TV soon.

Edit: Rep to you roller9 for beating me by 2min with this suggestion haha.

if you want to mount it on the wall, you need to get a wall mount from The mount prices range from $20-$60 on monoprice plus shipping.

something like this:

that one comes with all the hardware along with the mounting screws to mount the tv to your wall.

Picked one up at the store in Barboursville, WV for $299. Opted for the $29 3 year warranty after reading several posts. Thanks OP!

I'm assuming this is not full array local dimming, correct?

NOTE: That store still has one in the back, and they haven't updated the price (which is why they never sold)!

Anyone in northern VA near DC score at the $299.99 price?

Went to the Reston store and they were at $399. Did not even bother trying Sterling. . . figured all in the DC area would be at the high price.
Purchased for $299 in LaPlata, MD. Was told Target in Largo, MD had them for same price. If I were you, I would hustle...hard.

I have one of these on Black Friday ($349) and haven't had any problems with it so far. Good deal here.

I mounted it with a SIIG tilt mount that was FAR at Fry's on black friday.

Called the Targets in North Haven, CT and Orange, CT, both have them in stock for $299. I go to school in Connecticut but fly home to California in the summer so storing/transporting this thing would be a pain in the ass, so they're there for anyone else that wants to go get them.

Interesting, I went in last night and they came up at $349 at these locations. Bought it anyways. Thanks for letting me know they were in stock!

That link should be a sticky in the Wiki of every "Westinghouse Deal" thread.

$300 for a 50" tv is a great deal. $300 for a 50" coffee table top (or archer target, perhaps - maybe snowboard?) is NOT SLICK.

Still in stock in my area - feel free to join the club of happy, satisfied owners. LMAO
I saved the link for exactly that purpose. At least people can read it and make an *informed* decision to have a better than 50% chance of screwing themselves over by buying into the Westinghouse Chinese nightmare.

Ah, but you'll notice that pretty much everyone is buying the service plan. Also, any true slick dealer is using their redcard for the extra 5% off.

The way I see it, I'm paying $330 for a 50" LCD that's guaranteed to work for three years or my money back. So if I'm in the unlucky minority that has my tv fail, I've lost almost nothing. If I'm in the lucky majority, I get years of use from a very cheap tv. Sounds like a great deal to me! Heck, by the time I get to the end of year three I'll be hoping that it dies...that would be the slickest deal of all!
You've lost the cost of the warranty, and probably the TV since they most-likely won't swap or fix it. If you read the link to consumerist, Westinghouse ends up offering refunds for the TVs they don't have the parts to repair - often. Most of those people are *still waiting* for the refund check, and the check doesn't cover the cost of the warranty. Also, dunno about the Target warranty, but most add-on warranties take effect AFTER the manufacturer warranty ends, so you're stuck dealing with Westinghouse, who have a history of just closing their facebook page and starting over later when the negative posts get too overwhelming and won't answer the phone if they don't feel like it.

The person in that link has a spouse that WORKS for Target and they ended up getting screwed over like everyone else. Long hard road, my friend, long hard road...

Okay picked last one up at my store at lunch @ $299 - didn't have a red card nor time to mess with it. If its not that complicated I would take it back after work and do an exchange rebuy.

I would want the debt card. What do they need how long does it take?

It takes a few minutes to fill out the application. You will need a voided check. They will give you a receipt tape that contains your debit card number on the spot. You can start saving on the same day. You will receive the actual card in a few weeks.

So, which of the 2(3?) Models people have been picking up is best?
One Target person told me I have until the receipt expires to pick up a warranty, and another told me only 14 days. Any idea which is actually correct?
