Was walking though Target yesterday and noticed the Westinghouse 50" LED 1080p 60Hz TV [target.com] was on limited clearance for $299.99 (reg $599.99 previous sales for $499.99)

Talked to the guy at the tech department and while there were none out front he said there were a few in the back and the deal was live (Sawmill Rd/Dublin OH location)

Might be worth checking out to see if other stores had the same offer

Kind of misleading. 1080p still has more detail since the resolution is much higher. The 26inch 720p just has a higher pixel density.

Yes, I bought 2--albeit suburbs. One from the Oak Lawn location (last one) and one from the Crestwood location (again, last one.). You'll have to call around.

A buddy of mine bought one from the Shorewood location, but found out that the price difference b/w 399 and 299 is dependent upon the Target's proximity to a Best Buy. The ones closest to a competitor are 299.

The higher the pixel density, the more detailed (clearness) and image would be regardless of the resolution.

All these people getting these TV's over 70+ inches is losing a lot of detail at a maxed out resolution of 1080p (for today......until 4k tv's start coming on board soon).

Depends on how close you are to the screen too.

But still, having a 1080p source downscaled to 720p youre still losing part of the picture and not getting the full image

I price matched these at my local targets with one of the receipts that was posted earlier and cleaned them out lol. I got 4 total. Both stores had two in stock. I kept two for myself and sold the other two for a profit on craiglist, making this a pretty dang awesome week. I also ended up purchasing two 46" apex from target for $300 to resell and a few of the G580 laptops from office depot, price matched with the stapes $75 off coupon. My living room looks like I robbed a bestbuy lol.

yeah i saw color but again it has 3 presets, which doesn't help much.

Only if the customers in my CL area are like these! All I got is offerings that were even BELOW my cost! And the majority of calls are asking about how the items work. I'm like "Read the specs on your own. I already list them on my ads. Just read!"

Avoid being racist, there's "certain ethnic" group (with a thick, easily recognizable accent, like Apu from the Simpons) ALWAYS low-balls my ads. I think they're just pissed that they missed the deal and now jealous of my deals.
