DEAD/OOS

Was walking though Target yesterday and noticed the Westinghouse 50" LED 1080p 60Hz TV [target.com] was on limited clearance for $299.99 (reg $599.99 previous sales for $499.99)

Talked to the guy at the tech department and while there were none out front he said there were a few in the back and the deal was live (Sawmill Rd/Dublin OH location)

Might be worth checking out to see if other stores had the same offer

Only if the customers in my CL area are like these! All I got is offerings that were even BELOW my cost! And the majority of calls are asking about how the items work. I'm like "Read the specs on your own. I already list them on my ads. Just read!"

Avoid being racist, there's "certain ethnic" group (with a thick, easily recognizable accent, like Apu from the Simpons) ALWAYS low-balls my ads. I think they're just pissed that they missed the deal and now jealous of my deals.
This deal probably works great in small markets where there aren't many SDers and lots of people that use CL.

Large markets are tough... so many flaky people that are really interested and then just drop off the map.

Not true at all. I live in a "small market" and all I get are lowball offers. I am guaranteed to get offers of around 33% of my asking price. I don't mind hagglers; I price accordingly to adjust for that- but people are ridiculous. If I have a brand new Ipad I'll definitely get "will you take $150?" or even better "will you take $100 and my 15" CRT monitor?"

I've noticed the pink color on Zoidberg while watching Futurama but that's the only thing so far. I haven't noticed the purplish color but that's probably due to color blindness. Overall the tv is still decent door $300-$350.

Most of Chicagoland had them at 399 luckily earlier in the posts someone had mentioned Lombard and I was lucky enough to price match at villa park which was a mile away from Lombard! I'm sure if u purchase , and take the receipt to Lombard u have a good chance at an adjustment

I had two people show up with less money than I repeatedly told them I was selling it for. One walked and the other miraculously found more cash in their car. Not a chance in hell I'd travel to see a TV without the price already done beforehand but to each their own.

Hopefully you can report back and let us know. There aren't many left around here so it'll be hard to go find a place to do a return but I'll do it if it means the colors are better.

Still have the pinkish issue with the new replacement set on some red colors. It's not on all red colors just some where the set makes it pinkish instead of red. Some reds look very nice. Since now I know it's happened on 2 of the TV's I have to figure out if I want to keep it or not. I'm still seeing the purplish issue too every now and then. shake head

Ha. I've had that happen multiple times. A lot of the time people KNOW they don't have enough cash but then they don't tell me until I let them know that I'm on my way. Why waste my gas/time? I also had a guy try to give me two fake $100 bills one time. That was an interesting story; he had everything all planned out but he didn't realize how many $100s I've seen in my time.

Is it a huge problem or is it just one of those "colors don't look quite right" type things? Like, does it look like the TV itself has a problem or does it just look like the TVs were made/calibrated in a way that makes colors look off? I don't want a call from someone saying their TV's broken.

Not sure if it's a "huge" issue but I'm on my second one and it's the same as the first and others in this thread have mentioned the pinkish issue along with a purplish issue too on some scenes. I think it's an issue when the TV's were made/calibrated that the colors are off. When you watch the Oscars red carpet and you see a pinkish carpet or red Nascar cars and they are a pinkish something isn't correct. But, some shows the red is nice and red so I don't know. Other than that it has a pretty good picture for $299.99.

Picked up one last night and like most, it's not the best tv. I have a LG 47LM6200 that out shines this one on all aspects except size, 50 vs. 47, lol..
But for $299 vs. $699 can't complain much.. Plus my kids PS3 looks good on here.. Roll with it...
