I rank Lenovo, Asus/Dell, Toshiba, etc...., HP. Right now, I own all Lenovo minus some 5 yr. old Dell desktop my parents use to browse the web.

Windows 88...classic.

Good deal for the laptop but not great. That's the bottom end i3 but still good enough to power that and most of what people hope to do on that laptop but definitely not a performance laptop so kinda ehhhh on thing on the whole.

I've had a bunch of HPs/Compaqs that usually end up with overheating issues in about a year or so. If money was no concern I would definitely stay away from HP/Compaq.

I've read many online reviews and personally know two persons that owns an Asus and the feedbacks are very positive but I have never owned one.

The Dell XPS laptops are great. My sister and a couple of my friends love thiers. Might be getting one in the near future with a 1080p screen.

I'm still using a Fujitsu i5 3D laptop that I got from Frys in Dec 2011. Upgraded to Win 8 and about everything worked except the headset jack since there was no driver update found to fix the issue yet.

I was the one that was lucky enough to be picked and recieved a bunch of those Google Chrome laptops for their pilot program. Most of my friends and family ended up pushing these to the side and got much more powerful laptops.

I've never own a Toshiba or Lenovo laptop but I did just bought the wife that Lenovo G580 laptop from Office Depot for $340. Hope she likes it. All she does is browse the web/Facebook/a little office work/and sometimes toss it on the floor/wall when frustrated. She's on her 5th laptop I think.

Sometimes it's true. You usually get what you pay for. But if you're here long enough and have the patience then a great deal shows up and if you're lucky you might just be able to grab one before some reseller buys them all.

The big screen was a huge pull for me. My kids do a lot of school stuff on my laptop. The older version of this laptop got a good rating and the specs have improved a lot since that one so I decided it was worth taking the chance.

Well we received this order and it had a faulty mouse button (it is stuck in). Hoping another 17 inch laptop deal comes along. I hope Staples is good about returns.
