Dude, by the time you buy upgrades and crap for the "free" games, you end up spending more than you would just getting ps plus.

Hope you're talking about game play quality instead of graphics quality. But regardless of the platform the game is on, whether it be a computer (which I do play on that the past few years more than my ps3 or wii), gaming console, handheld games, laptop or tablet/phone, etc... It all comes down to this, your time. Out of the entire week, with an analysis of several months how much of your time is spent on playing games and on which platform? My trend over the years has been this, PC -> gaming console /hand held --> PC -> Ipod -> Ipad -> Iphone. Right now i noticed my time has shifted to playing on the iphone more than any other device. Is more and more of your time being spent playing on your phone?
