I have very high expectation for JJ Abrams. The existing stories after VI are pretty good as is if anyone read books or comics. If he just copies the stories with slight alteration, the movies would be great knowing his quality of work. He really has no excuse to ruin Star Wars. But we will see. I'm not sure why you'd want to use Harrison Ford again (It's final, he will be in VII). That scares me a little bit. I hope VII isn't some 50 years after events from VI. I worry that if JJ Abrams gets too creative, the story may conflict with existing works. I'd hate to see the repeat of I-III not making any sense with IV-VI. |

Now, you seem very hostile to the idea altogether, and are meanwhile making me out to be some kind of zealot for even proposing it. As I see it, that's your problem, not mine... |

Now what the editor is proposing and what you are perpetuating is a rationalization for his illegal acts, violation of the DMCA and distribution of copyrighted material. He breaks the law, but then says it's okay by putting the obligation of purchase on people who watch his illegally made product? And you say there's a moral obligation to buy these overpriced Blu-rays? Really? I'll counter that by saying there's a moral obligation on Lucasfilm to provide a clean copy of the original versions. Then I'll consider purchasing those Blu-rays. |

I don't post often but I figure I would share my story. I tried ordering the Audio Technica mt 50 from this site last year and they ended up canceling my order. So I called and argued with them and ended up getting a 40 dollar credit. I applied that credit to this and ended up getting it for 30 bucks.
I feel like a lot of SDs who jumped on the Audio Technica mt 50 deal and got their orders canceled have the 40 dollar credit. |
