Canon EOS Rebel T4i Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens $599 + FS

Thanks OP. I might jump on this. Taking a photography class this semester and need a new DSLR. Was on the fence on this or the Sony a57. This deal seems pretty good to me. I'm excited about the touchscreen and feel the market is just larger for Canon lenses (second hand). I'm thinking of either getting the nifty fifty or the 40mm pancake. Any of you photography experts have an opinion on which would be best as a second lens?

People from California could buy it from B&H. They have it for $649. They bundle it with a free 16GB SDHC memory card.

2. Since it is prime, it is sharp
3. It is excellent for low light situations because of large aperture
4. Since it can be stopped down to f1.8 you can get very shallow depth of field. Good for excellent bokeh

I have a copy of the 50mm prime lens, the 1.4 and I'm very pleased with it. It's superior to the 1.8 and the price reflects it. Having said that, I wish that the pancake lens was around when I was looking for a prime lens because since I'm using this lens on a cropped sensor (Rebel Series), the 40mm would give more field of view to make up for what you'll loose with a 50mm. I've heard nothing but good things about the Pancake lens.

But it gets really soft at f/1.8... so keep it around f/2.8 to f/4 and you'll get some very nice shots. If you absolutely need to open up the aperture because it is so dark, go for it, but try and avoid if it can.

Any deals on the 18-135mm bundles?

If from any other state than NY, B&H is the same about the same (memory card vs faster shipping) + you can throw in the 55-250 EF-S II for another $83. And then if you really want to go crazy you can add the Pixma Pro-100 and paper for $435, get the $300 MIR in form of an Amex and flip the printer for about $300 making an approximate profit of $150

Then you end up with the T4i, 2 lenses (18-55 & 55-250 EF-S II) for $582 ($649 for initial kit+$83 second lens- $150 printer profit), tax and shipping included from B&H.

The least expensive I have seen is $859 at B&H, but that's lukewarm at best (unfortunately the holidays are over).
I went all-in for $1150, for the deluxe bundle, extra lens and warranty, because I need the extra gear anyhow and seperate the whole thing would cost about $1500+

I have a XSi with 18-55 & 55-250 EF-S II lenses. Where can I get a good deal on just the T4i body? What is the lowest price you guys have seen so far?
