Wow, this looks really good. Really close to pulling the trigger.

Lenovo outlet has this for $530 for comparison's sake(newegg has the better video card so I give the win there personally, but for video rendering the outlet one has an i7):

On an Acer refurbished deal on newegg a few weeks ago, a person said newegg's refurbished aren't any good. Is there any truth to this?

That is also a Scratch and Dent, which can be absolutely nothing, or a mark you are not happy with.

I pulled the trigger on the Lenovo outlet y480. I had originally bought a new Lenovo y580 for $955 after tax but I felt I over paid for it, I ordered the Y480 from the outlet and then called to cancel it but as offered a $40 discount to keep the order. I couldn't pass that up, I was also told if I wasn't satisfied with it that I could return it for a full refund.

I just received the laptop from Newegg. The laptop was as described except for the graphics card. The laptop had a GT 640M LE card instead of the GT 650M card. The GT 640M LE is vastly weaker than the GT 650M.

Also it seems that another person also has received the same laptop with a 640M LE card. He doesn't seem too pleased either.

I talked with Newegg Customer Service and I should be receiving a replacement laptop in the next few days. I hope that they have this laptop with the GT 650M in it.

I just wanted to update you guys on this. I ordered it and it got here in 2 days.

It runs absolutely perfect. Feels like it's brand new. Everything came as promised EXCEPT I got the 640M graphics card.

I'm going to call their customer service, but I bet they're going to be very accommodating.

I'd still make this purchase five times over though, I still think it's a stellar deal.

I just called customer service. It looks like the replacement was cancelled and now I'm getting a refund. Newegg has good customer service.

I immediately cancelled my order after seeing the review on Newegg about the graphics card. Thank goodness for Slickdealers!

Great... My laptop is supposed to come in tomorrow. What to do... I feel the GT 640 LM is still a decent card considering the price. GT 650 would just be a steal.

EDIT: I'm shocked that it still lists a GT 650 on the product page.
