I placed my order on Mar.1 (for video card, only NVIDIA Quadro 2000M with 2GB GDDR3 can be selected) and already shipped today. The additional 10% discount coupon did not work. Maybe call the rep will honor it? I do not know. |

yeah i called 2-3 times and talked to different reps - they all said the coupon can not be applied once the order is already placed/processed.
chat online with 2-3 reps did not result in anything positive either. ohh well. another 10% off would be a steal for this quality laptop but not a deal breaker. At least I am not paying 4,000$ or what these used to cost.

After an email saying my order couldnt be honored, I got an email from Dell support following up to see if we could modify the order. Got a 2000M video card instead with 2GB RAM, same price, and did next business day shipping for free. The guy has been awesome to work with - I've been really impressed by their service.
I didn't realize this, but only 2GB RAM on a 64-bit system is more of a pain than I thought. Dell's bloatware alone brings the computer to a screeching halt - after reinstalling a fresh OS, it runs okay, but definitely not going to be pleasant running any games. Any recommendations for good deals on an 8GB RAM upgrade for this machine? |
