Sounds like they have an issue with differing strengths of magnets; for some people, the magnets are so strong that when they open the case and fold the lid back, it turns their Kindle off, as though they had placed the lid over the front of the Kindle.
It's worth the hassle though - you either pay $40 for an official Amazon cover or $5 for a Poetic molded/form-fitting case. It's the only two options, and the price difference makes it clear. Poetic actually has surprisingly well-made cases for the price. I have their iPhone case and havent had any issues with it.

I decided to go for this Poetic case [amazon.com] instead for $2 more... no mentions of the magnet issue, and I like to read at the table sometimes.

Does anyone know if this would fit the Kindle 6in?
(I don't know the official name - it looks almost identical to PaperWhite but a square button and four small circle buttons on the bottom. |
