Yeah, I was considering doing that one too. Unfortunately, I have $110 in Office Depot Worklife Rewards to cash in after Q1 2013 ends in March and the majority of their FAR software deals lately are for McAfee products. Since McAfee only allows 1 rebate per product per calendar year... I don''t know if it's worth it.

Yeah, I would be weary about that too. I had to triple check that I didn't do any other McAfee of the same product.

The CS person who helped me with some missing rebates was helpful, but I haven't received those yet so we'll see. The one thing that is certain is that they're SLOW.

Yeah, Parago is getting real nasty now with rebates. First McAfee, now Symantec... with all the "audit process" nonsense. It's really a shame because as consumers we have to put up a huge fight to get the money back that we are entitled to. They have us "by the balls" because by the time we get a status update: it's past the return period, our product doesn't have a UPC code (so it's not returnable anyways), and the terms & conditions of almost every rebate give them a way out of paying it.

They don't define criteria for how many rebates declares you a "reseller/dealer" and once you're on the blacklist, I hear it's extremely hard to get off of.

They can say that, but it doesn't mean it will hold up in (small claims) court. I can go up and stab you an say "satanslover reserves the right to interpret this stabbing at his sole discretion and all decisions made by satanslover are final." but it won't get me very far.

Also, they don't actually have a price clause in their rules, so there is no rule to interpret.

Yeah, my ShopRunner account is the only thing I'm worrying about getting cancelled. Especially since right now they only have like 30 day trial offers going on, not the 15 months I have.

I'll probably end up placing 3 separate orders though. Right now, I'm just waiting for the last rebate to attach to the Arctic Cooling Thermal Paste. The ones for the games showed up like 30 minutes ago.

As for RebateAccess (Velocity Fulfillment)... they are incredibly slow. We're talking 10 to 14 weeks to receive your rebate on average. But... they are pretty reliable and I've rarely had any issues with them. I don't like their tracking system, as it doesn't show you a scan of any of the items you sent in... and it doesn't really give you any update on approval, etc. like 4MyRebate one does. I think anyone that does rebates regularly can agree that 4MyRebate is the best out there right now in terms of keeping you informed.

It's ironic that 4MyRebate is the best.. amazing what being sued by the state will do for your customer service

I agree... there is no price protection clause like McAfee rebates which specifically say:
"Rebate amount paid to customer for single or combined rebate offers may not exceed the purchase price of the McAfee product."

I'm not a lawyer, so who the heck knows what these companies can get by with on their clauses. To me the clause kind of sounds like you are implicitly agreeing to waive your rights to contest any decision on your rebate just by filling it out. I don't know how a judge would interpret that though.
