so, are these bulbs new or the originals that came with the unit?

One of the great features of this, especially at the price, is the HDMI output, confirmed upon receipt.

I bought it on last month's deal from same seller. It has HDMI it has worked fine with my blu-ray and my hd cable box. Still looking for a cheap low profile ceiling mount.

Ebay sellers purchased all these (my speculation) because they had a slew of orders come in this morning and they think they are almost certainly not going to be able to fulfill the orders they have received per customer service, who also confirmed there is only a no DOA warranty and the bulbs are all used with no clue how many hours remain on them. In for one cancellation anyway!

I am on the fence about this, would be a good procjector to take to a party and not care that much if a drunk chick dumps her drink on it... I sometimes dj parties and do video djing and I always worry about my projector... hmmm.

I'll let you know when I get mine. I don't ever watch DVDs, but when my router failed, I realized uPnP, Hulu, & netflix were all pretty useless and I longed for a DVD player

FYI, I purchased a refurb from this seller and the bulb arrived with 400 hours on it. I'm sure they'll range down a bit less. Make sure you receive the correct power cable and a remote control.

1) "Refurbished" is undefined. They sold out of their last inventory and it's not like 3M would have dedicated staff refurbishing a legacy model like this, so who knows what these are or why they have them.

2) No information on bulb hours in the unit.

On the other hand, the first inventory that went out did so to rave reviews (aside from some annoying rants from people having to supply their own $1 power cord, taking the concept of "whiner" to a whole new level). Service and product were excellent. I don't see them as a company trying to dump a bunch of bad units. They bent over backwards to accommodate even the petty power cord moaners. So I'm on the fence as to whether to pony up $130 to get a backup bulb for the one I already bought. It's a close call.
