I'm not a projector expert so how exactly do you check how many hours your bulb has if I receive this?

There is an option in the menu to show bulb hours. But it is easy to reset.

You could also check to see if there is much dust inside as a sign of use.

I got a new one from the last deal...there is a menu option accessible through the remote that will show you lamp hours. You can also reset the lamp hours, so I'm not sure how much faith I'd put in the value you see when yours arrives. Good luck!


BTW, I've only used the projector to test it when it arrived, haven't really put it through it's paces yet.

For the price it's a sweet little projector. Got a couple from the last sale for my brothers game room. It's obviously nowhere close to quality you could get in a top of the line projector, but those would run you at least 5x as much. And to me the difference in quality wouldn't isn't that great for the price difference. For $99 it's an amazing deal. If getting for young kids or someone who's not a videophile this thing is perfect and they'd love u forever for it lol

oh well, got my ordered canceled. Something along the lines of "Due to a technical issue, we were not able to remove the projector from our webstore in time to stop incoming orders that we didn’t have product to fulfill. This email is to inform you that we will be cancelling your order in our system. Your credit card will not be charged."

Bummer. It remains to be seen whether they had any product to fulfill orders. I haven't gotten a cancellation yet but expect to.

So far, I turned it on once, and looked pretty good for my needs. Just building a cheap golf simulator for fun.

i agree. i can't ever get the focus for graphic to be adjusted right.
i can see text and its default background very clear. but all my graphic output from laptop or bluray player using hdmi or s-video are very blurry.

are there any options that i can adjust the graphic video?
all the text are super sharp though, both from laptop or bluray player.

one of my boxes got labeled "No A/C". i am not sure what it means. i thought it was "no 'USA standard' a/c cord". but only 1 box got labeled as such. none of them shipped with standard USA cord anyway.

Thanks for all the info. Does anyone know if a universal remote works with this projector just like a TV?

I got a Promethean AS-20AS as a substitute projector when they ran out last time. Technically, a better unit, I'm using it in my basement with a homemade 107" DIY screen I put together for around $60, we have been watching a lot of movies and playing a lot of videogames on it. Not sure how I got along without one now that I have one .
