ASUS VN247H-P Black 23.6" 1ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 80,000,000:1 Built-in Speakers [newegg.com] On newegg for $169.99 shipped after promo code

I ordered this same monitor on Amazon for $189.99 yesterday (it's still this price today) and to my knowledge this is the lowest price its ever been.

Details : With an ultra slim frame-perfect for a multi display setup, the 24-inch VN247H-P LED Full HD monitor features a 1ms response time for smooth motion playback in movies, videos, and games. It also comes with the essential connectivity for a complete HD visual experience

Here is in depth detail from product page on asus website
ASUS VN247H-P/ [asus.com]
Looks like its a great monitor for dual or three monitor setups bc of it's thin bezel.

What are the HZ on this thing? Why is it so hard to find the HZ information of computer monitors yet TV's plaster the world with their HZ rating?

**be sure to check for dead pixels upon arrival. Newegg and asus replace free if they are found

don't think it can, all pics I see people have it setup like so

http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1268990/

http://cdn.overclock.net/2/28/28f61e30_IMG_0246.jpeg

Pros
-Lightweight
-Small bezel (<.5inch)
-Pretty thin
-Nice base design (swirl metal)
-Great Backlight
-Has speakers(dont sound good though)
-Vesa mountable
-2 HDMI inputs(comes with hdmi to dvi cable)
-Audio in and out
-VGA

Cons
-Stand is flimsy (yet to find an asus monitor that isnt sadly)
-Bezel slightly deceptive
-No DVI inputs(comes with hdmi to dvi cable)

And as for HZ I'm not sure they rate monitors the same way as TV's in the traditional 60hz/120hz/240hz processing.... I just know 2ms response time is standard for not having issures ghosting on pc games or xbox (prob even 5ms) so this screen being at 1ms Gray to gray is probably a sure bet to keep up with the fast pace

It's a relatively new monitor too, looks like it hit the streets in early January of 2013

Isn't there like a 3 or 5 dead pixel minimum to have them replace it? And don't you have to pay for shipping?

They do though you can search for 120hz monitors and it will pull some up but in general it is a specification they completely leave out. When I hook my PC up to my flatscreen 120hz the gameplay is amazing.

I'm sure its a decent one. AESTHETICALLY speaking its not in the same category as the one above, and the response time is slower. Your losing about 2 inches of screen as well and the brightness is lacking compared to the Asus. It doesn't have HDMI input (the Asus has 2 which is even more pleasing for those trying to plug a computer and or media boxes/xbox's into the monitor at once) And the Asus has speakers (which probably suck but hey they are there as compared to the one you linked)

For $50 I'd sleep better just ordering the Asus but it really depends on your setup and ultimate intended use

CA Tax kills the deal :/

If you are out of CA or can get another website w/out CA tax to match it, then this seems like a good deal.. Hopefully the 1ms response time is close to the actual real life response time.. no test have been done yet.. atleast none that I have found

I've been on the fence for a few weeks now, looking to buy a second monitor with a sleek-edge design. Was originally looking at the Dell S2340M, on sale for $169.99 at NewEgg and BestBuy. That sold out at NewEgg and is back to regular price at BestBuy.

I guess I'll commit to purchasing this deal before it, too, is gone.

Thanks OP!
(For making my bank account a little ligher. LMAO)

How about the Costco S2340M at $159.99 (http://www.costco.com/Dell-23%22-...103.html)?
