as you've found out, warnings are considered non-fatal and the script will continue to execute. I think you can override this behaviour with the set_error_handler function.
I.e. set it to die when error code 2 (warning) is encountered http://php.net/set_error_handler http://www.w3schools.com/php/func...andler.asp I got comparisons coming out my ears and she never can hit the pause
