It can't even trickle charge my HP TouchPad (let alone two at the same time). The two I bought are now in the garage sale bin.

I was going to buy a Bluetooth mouse from them but in the shopping cart it says something about a child getting something bad if I do not check out. I realize that they are being humorous, but I choose to avoid anyone trying to manipulate me using guilt. I am not Jewish.

500mah output...only 2000mah capacity...
My S3 charges at 1A or 1.3A I think with a 2100mah battery...I can't even charge my phone once. Boo! Last edited by lozts; 02-19-2013 at 08:07 PM.. |

Too bad it **cant** to 2 amps if just one device is charging....
This is 2 amps total. but limited to only 0.5 amp per channel. (4*0.5=2.0) Most tablets and newer phones can take 2 amps on a single port for "faster" charging. |

I think it will charge your phone. It will just do it slowly. the s3 can probably do **UPTO** 1.3 A rate. This would just be a slower 0.5 amp charge. So this is a 0.5a*4=2.0a charger (2 amps is the rate)... it will charge your 2100mah (capacity) battery. (kinda like how you can charge your phone off laptop usb power, but it will just do it slowly) |

I bought these last go round. I would recommend picking up a few. First it has 4 ports that lets me charge everything I have in one spot. Mine came with a really good and long previous gen style Iphone connection. It does charge my Ipad overnight so that's fine.
In my house though, I have a rule, if it is not UL listed it doesn't get plugged in. I know there might be cheaper units out there but why bother; these are a really good price and meet all my requirements. I picked up 1 of the 2amp charges also but it's a little more expensive. Either way, I am really happy with these Tanga sales prices for these units. |
